marke
New Zealand based web site on Pressure Transducers and Pressure Sensors.. The standard pressure transducers MPM489 provide a 4-20mA or a 0-10 Volt output which is proportional to the applied pressure. There are also Submersible Pressure Transducers and Level Sensors which are a sealed pressure transducer with a breather tube included in the cable. These are designed to be submerged in the well or tank and measure the pressure of the water above the sensor. marke
17mm Level Transmitters are submersible pressure transducers, 17mm diameter for easy installation in a bore hole, with a special cable that is ip68 + sealed to the end of the sensor and includes two signal wires and a breathing tube. The pressure inside the sensor is equal to atmospheric pressure due to the breather tube. Correctly installed (just above the pump) the indicated pressure is equal to the level of water above the pump. We would recommend the use of a level transmitter to protect a bore hole pump with a trip point set to the NPSH of the pump and a control algorithm to regulate the flow through the pump to keep the level above the NPSH at all times.
