taknavaz
hello Please help me about the operation of this circuit: circuit1.bmp 1- how doese work this circuit? 2- what doese the duty of capacitor in this circuit? 3- how doese work the ULTRA VIOLET LAMPS? please explain simply and as far as possible by formula. thanks. marke
Hello taknavaz You have three 900V transformers in series to generate a high voltage (270 volts) This is coupled to the lamp via capacitors in series. The capacitors reduce the current flow so will allow a high current impulse at the point where the arc begins in the lamp, and then limit the current due to the impedance that the capacitors present to line frequency current flow. The lamp is a discharge lamp where there is essentially an enclosed and controlled arc withing the lamp envelope.
